YOUR GUIDE TO SKIING IN CHAMPOLUC
Champoluc is located at an altitude of 1,570 metres, and it is one of the leading resorts in the Monterosa Ski area. It is famous for its peaceful slopes, reliable snow, and beautiful views of the Monte Rosa massif. Champoluc mainly serves confident intermediate and advanced skiers. However, there are blue runs for beginners too. It blends authentic alpine charm with excellent skiing. Monterosa Ski has over 180 kilometres of groomed pistes and offers terrain for skiers of all levels. The area connects three valleys: Champoluc, Gressoney, and Alagna Valsesia. Beginners can enjoy gentle blue runs in Frachey and the Crest ski area. Confident intermediates can handle long red runs near Colle Bettaforca (2,727 m) and Colle Sarezza (2,700 m). Expert skiers can push their limits on black runs and off-piste routes in Punta Indren, accessible via lifts from Alagna or Gressoney. This area is a true off-piste paradise, boasting its ungroomed terrain. Beyond skiing, Champoluc retains a laid-back, traditional alpine atmosphere with authentic Italian hospitality. The village is charming and untouched. It has old buildings, small shops, cosy bars, and great restaurants that serve local Aosta Valley dishes.
